loma prieta - our lp is your ep

Sitting a bit intoxicated in my best friend at the times house browsing random bands on the long dead hxcmp3.com we found a band that made me stop and say, "holy shit shoobsie this is good" the band being I Would Set Myself On Fire For You. While their name is long, their sound is near perfection in my eyes. A good blend of everything that makes their sound so awesome, violent vocals/guitars matched with beautiful violin parts and all wrapped up in amazing lyrics that have made me rethink the way i think about music. The first night we found this band we heard a live version of "the first word that comes to mind" and I just remember how perfect it felt at that time in my life. This band is one of my all time favorites and a definite must that i feel anyone could relate to.
i would set myself on fire for you - self tited

The first real show I ever went to was at Rising Tide Records, a brief but amazing venue/record store run by some wonderful people. I was 16 and the first band was Jiyuna, I had met some of the guys previously at the shop before hand but I had no idea what I was about to see. They blew my fucking mind and changed my opinions on music forever. ‘This Desolate Veil’ is in my opinion their greatest masterpiece and possibly one of the best musical releases to come out of southwest florida to date.
